Here is a TaiG tutorial on how to jailbreak iOS 8.1.2 for installing Cydia by using Windows operating system. The TaiG team has recently updates their software to the 1.2 version making it compatible to jailbreak the iOS 8.1.2 and installing Cydia. But do note this update is available for only Windows users. For Mac users they will have to use PP jailbreak guide.
1. Download the latest version of TaiG using this link -> TaiG version for Windows. After the download is complete extract the files. If you want to know more about TaiG you can visit the TaiG's official website.
2. Connect your iOS device iphone/ipad.ipod touch with the computer using USB cable.
3. Run the downloaded tool of TaiG as administrator. Provide administrator privileges to avoid any hindrance.
4. Once the installer is opened you will see a green colored "Start" button. Click on it to start the jailbreak.
5. After the process is completed go ahead by selecting the "Done" option. Ignore other messages such as " The disk is almost full" etc,
6. Within few minutes whole jailbreak process will be completed with Cydia automatically installed on your iOS device. Your device might reboot once during the process.

Mind These Before Jailbreak Starts

2. Prefer iTunes update over OTA updates. As these can cause errors in jailbreak or even it may cause the jailbreak to fail.
3. Do back up your data. Use iTunes to back up your data and prevent unnecessary loss of files.
4. When your device is getting jailbroken you never want to lock it in between. So switch off auto lock option. For this go to Settings -> General -> Auto Lock -> Never.
5. Also turn off "Find My Phone" option. You will find it in Settings -> iCloud -> Find My Phone.
6. Go to Settings -> General -> Passcode Lock and turn it off.
